Do you know Dancing Matt? His real name is Matt Harding and he became an Internet celebrity with a series of videos of himself doing silly dances in all kinds of places around the world. For his last video, Matt visited 42 countries and invited locals to dance with him in each country.
Below, Matt explains how he contacted people in all those countries and got them to dance with him. Some countries, like the USA and Canada, were easy because people were always emailing to ask when he would visit. Other places, like the whole continent of Africa were more difficult because he had to find willing dancers by himself.
Matt started dancing with locals because he thought it looked like fun, but some people think he did good work connecting people around the world.
What do you think? Is this a good way to connect people, a reminder that some things (like dancing) are universal, or is it just a bit of fun?
What are your ideas for connecting with people in different countries?
