Im now three weeks into my fund-raising challenge for Everywhere Connection (if you have no idea what Im talking about, please take a moment to read up on my latest adventure). Thanks to some super awesome people- friends, family, bloggers, and some of you awesome readers, we are now at 15% of our $6000 goal. While thats awesome and we are so very grateful, we still have quite a ways to go over the next 40 days.

As I said in my last post, Im not trying to pressure you for money. However, I wouldnt be a very good fundraiser if I didnt present you with these Very Important Reasons Why You Should Support Everywhere Connection:

3. Latin America is Going to Look Good We are bringing some serious recording equipment down south with us, so we can more vividly capture the sights and sounds of the awesome places we are going. Seriously, it’s going to be gorgeous. 4. Crazy Discoveries Ever wondered what it’s like to couchsurf? Or toss out the guidebook and rely solely on your smartphone? What about to let twitter dictate your every move? We’ll be testing out all of these ideas and more as we try to discover the limits of where technology has taken us. 5. Two Top Bloggers Stretched to the Limit Mike is an ace with video, and I have a passion for words, so this project will be a collaboration of all of our top talents, as well as a major challenge. Neither of us have ever attempted a project of this scale, but we are confident we can make it happen.

6. The Personal Drama You guys have been following us since the start of our relationship. Can Mike and I survive 3 months of traveling and working together full-time? An environment like this would be a test of even the strongest couple, so I figure we’ll either kill each other or end up married. Either would be pretty good tv. 7. It’s Your Project Too! We’re when we say that this project isn’t just about us. We want it to be an entertaining resource, and we want as much participation from you guys as possible. Connections mean community, and this is going to be a community project. We’re still hammering out the details, but we want our audience to be involved every step of the way.
