Geiranger Fjord

DAY FIVE: FLAM & VOSS

We took an excursion from Flam to Voss along the Gudvangen Fjord.

Lunch was arranged at the historic Fleischers Hotel which specialises in Norwegian food including smalahove, a smoked sheeps head. We had ­marinated salmon and herring instead.

After a look at Voss we took the train back to Flam and saw some of the most spectacular scenery in Norway.

DAY SIX: SAILING HOME

Goodbye Norway and your fabulous fjords. The Discovery headed to UK and Linda again took advantage of the spa.

I regained some pride in the table tennis competition and attempted not to eat my own body weight in cakes.
